melee weapons

ok, so the outbreak has happened.... you have no firearms to defend yourself with........ what would be YOUR choice of melee weapons to use and why?

to start the discussion i will explain my choice

The Medieval Mace............


the reason i would choose this weapon is

1. it is lightweight
2. it is easy to use
3. the business end will crush skulls and end any zombie
4. the iron spikes will not lodge in the skull, making it difficult to withdraw and use again
5. it is easy to make if you have the right equipment

in game the machete is my favourite melee weapon but in reality the blade is likely to get stuck thus making it useless

does anyone else have a better idea for a melee waepon ?

I must say, the mace is a great weapon! Definitely one of my favorites!

One weapon I would have to have in my arsenal would be a simple baseball bat!

My reasons for having this weapon are;
1. Light weight
2. Easy to use
3. You can fabricate one pretty easily
4. There are probably quite a few places to obtain one
5. Last but not least, it's FUN! LOL

I only have one reason why i love using mace its because if you swing a mace and hit a zombie its like raining a blood. kinds of sadistic huh?

lol, im not sure if thats sadistic or not, for real sadism use a sword, amputate the arms and legs and leave the zombie to crawl around like a worm ( yes i have an evil mind lol )
