Can't load saves

Hi everyone I have a problem I hope someone can give me a solution to: for some reason when I try to load my game I get an error message saying cannot connect to '..\saves\(different mix of letters and numbers each time)\save.usa' this affects all my saves apart from my first save (at the beginning of the cornfield level) and the autosave for the cornfield the game allows me to play the other levels just fine I managed to get as far as the headshot level then Otis got himself killed then when I tried loading to try again I got the above error message so I tried loading a slightly earlier save but got the same thing I tried using the Open [map name] cheat to just skip to the right level but it doesn't work I get an error message flash up but it's gone before I can see what it is and I end up at the main menu
